Description

Knauf Dritherm Cavity Wall Slab 37 Standard is a slab of non-combustible, glass mineral wool with a water-repellent additive, designed for reliable and long-lasting effective insulation. They can be used to either full fill or partially fill wall cavities in buildings up to 12 metres high.

Knauf Dritherm Cavity Wall Slab 37 Standard is created with a special additive to become water repellent, with Slab 37 Standard having a thermal conductivity of 0.035 to 0.037 W/mK on average. These long-lasting slabs are designed to not sustain vermin, are odourless, and do not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria within your wall cavity.

The slabs have no vapour resistance and allow for vapour to freely pass through the cavity slab, with slabs forming together to leave no air cavities within the build. Knauf Dritherm Cavity Wall Slab 37 Standard is available to purchase from BSO in sizes from 85mm to 100mm x 1200mm.


DriTherm Cavity Slabs have a special additive to make the product water repellent and are produced in three grades:

  • DriTherm Cavity Slab 37 Standard has a thermal conductivity ranging from 0.035 to 0.037 W/mK
  • DriTherm Cavity Slab 34 Super has a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK
  • DriTherm Cavity Slab 32 Ultimate has a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/mK

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are for the thermal insulation of masonry cavity external walls, either partially filling or fully filling the cavity. They are approved for use in buildings up to 12m high in any exposure zone and for use in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height.

Standards

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are non-combustible inorganic glass wool, defined as mineral wool in BS 3533: 1981 and are manufactured in accordance with BSI Quality Assurance Standard BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.

Durability

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

Vapour Resistance

DriTherm Cavity Slabs offer virtually no vapour resistance, allowing water vapour to pass freely through the slab.

Thermal

DriTherm Cavity Slabs have thermal conductivities ranging from 0.032 to 0.037 W/mK €“ see Product Data table below.

Fire

DriTherm Cavity Slab is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN ISO 13501-1.

Certification

DriTherm Cavity Slab is certified by British Board of Agrément Certificate 95/3212 which approves its use in buildings up to 12m in height in any exposure zone, and in multi-storey applications up to 25m in height.

DriTherm Cavity Slabs have been used in many buildings over 25m in height, including exposed coastal sites. Approval can be sought from Knauf Insulation Ltd and the British Board of Agrément for DriTherm Cavity Slab's use in buildings over 25m high.

Guarantee

DriTherm Cavity Slabs are guaranteed for 50 years to resist the transmission of liquid water from the outer masonry leaf to the inner masonry leaf in new external cavity walls and to have a thermal conductivity of 0.032 to 0.037 W/mK at normal building temperatures. Masonry includes bricks, blocks and dressed and reconstituted stone. The guarantee is available by application from Knauf Insulation Ltd.
