Lead Patination Oil - 1 Litre - Pack of 10 Bottles

Calder Lead Patination oil gets rid of unattractive staining and reveals an aesthetically pleasing appearance to freshly applied lead sheets and flashings. A single coat of Calder Lead Patination oil immediately after installation will completely wipe out any chance of surface staining from white carbonate on new lead and surrounding areas and materials.

Occasionally the patina formed on lead looks patchy and unattractive, this is due to moisture building up in damp non-optimum conditions. A natural patina will develop around the lead coming in the form of a soluble non-adherent white lead carbonate, Which is highly unacceptable for any brickwork or tiles.

To prevent any improper appearances such as stains or marks on a building. Calder Lead Patination oil is an extremely good choice to effectively minimise this uncontrolled formation of carbonate, improve the overall end result of the job and leave a pleasing appearance to the lead both before and after the formation of its final patination.

Specification

  • Specifically developed for the industry by Calder on behalf of the Lead Sheet Association. Patination oil minimises unsightly staining and imparts a pleasing appearance to newly applied lead sheet and flashings.
Occasionally the patina formed on lead looks patchy and unattractive.
  • In rainy or damp conditions new lead will quickly develop an uneven powdery white, non-adherent coating of lead carbonate, a corrosion product, which is aesthetically unacceptable.
  • The staining of tiles and brickwork spoils the overall appearance of the building,
  • Patination Oil will minimise this uncontrolled formation of carbonate, improve the hygiene of the job AND impart a pleasing appearance to the lead both ‘before’ and ‘after’ the formation of its final Patination.
