The Metabo KHE 5-40 SDS Max Combi Hammer has 2 functions - hammer drilling and chiselling. Fitted with a thumb wheel for pre selection of the speed and impact rate. Electronic soft start provides precise spot-drilling. Its low weight, die cast magnesium gear housing allows for optimum heat dissipation.

Metabos' VibraTech (MVT) system comprises an integrated damping system and side handle, which help to reduce vibrations in order to protect the user's health. The Vario-Tacho-Constamatic (VTC) system provides full wave electronics that allow for more sensitive work to be carried out, such as materials that require customised speeds whilst remaining constant under load.

For added safety it is fitted with the Metabo S-automatic safety clutch. A mechanical decoupling of the drive for safe working should the drill stop unexpectedly. It also acts as a wear indication for the carbon brushes.
