Knauf Earthwool Insulation Earthwool Acoustic Roll.
The Knauf Earthwool Insulation Earthwool Acoustic Roll is designed specifically for the sound insulation of metal and timber stud partitions, whilst only adding minimally to the overall mass of the structure, using mineral wool as a sound absorbent layer in partitions will significantly improve their acoustic performance. By absorbing airborne sound in the cavity and reducing reverberation the mineral wool complements the plasterboard.
The Earthwool Acoustic Roll also has the effect of reducing the hollow sound that can occur in partitions with unfilled cavities. Metal stud partitions faced with standard 12.5mm plasterboard and infilled with the Earthwool Acoustic Roll can meet the requirement for a 40 Rw dB sound reduction in accordance with Approved Document E of the Building Regulations

For general thermal and acoustic insulation, the Knauf Earthwool Insulation Flexible Slab is a multi-purpose thermal and acoustic insulation slab specifically designed for installation by friction fitting. For use in applications such as internal partitions, and between timber and metal studs, rafters and floor joists the Knauf Earthwool Insulation Flexible Slab is made from non-combustible, inorganic rock mineral wool. The Flexible Slab is non-hygroscopic, odourless, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin, rot proof, and will not encourage the growth of mould, bacteria or fungi.
