When using Ronseal's 3-in-1 Basecoat, make sure your room is above 10°C and open a window to keep it ventilated, as cold weather can prevent the paint from drying properly. Before you start, cover anything you don’t want to get paint on. Remove any loose paint or plaster by giving the surface a quick sand, and wipe the area with a damp cloth to ensure it’s clean and free from dust.
