Roofing Felt application

When roofing felt is applied it needs to be fitted with a minimum of 2 or 3 layers. This multi-layer method ensures a watertight, durable roof that will keep the building protected from the elements. The first layer of roofing felt is usually nailed to the roof and is specifically an underlay. The layers after the first are generally bonded with roofing felt adhesive. The felt roof is then finished off with a waterproof top layer that adds extra protection and utilizes the durability of the roof felt.
